To be completely honest, writing scares me. It sometimes seems like a mental childbirth. I don’t know how to express what I want to say. I don’t know where to begin. I write a sentence — I look at it and hate it. I usually change the sentence a few times, and then totally lose my train of thought. I often either knock out only a few words or elaborate too much. Writing is difficult!

That’s why I thought it would be nice to share my tips, techniques, processes, methodology of writing about what I do, for those of us who find it impossibly difficult, but still want to do it. Hopefully this article will help you to articulate your work. Knowledge deserves to be shared. I also hope that the process of writing this will help me to improve all these techniques, so I can share them with you. …

Through this article I would like to share my findings from my ongoing 2 years of research into design systems and design tools called project Worlds.

Having said this, I realise I didn’t reinvent the wheel. I am aware that there are similar ideas, concepts and products floating around like React, Figma, Sketch, Modulz or Framer X. All of this might be nothing new for game developers either.

It is my utmost pleasure to announce that almost exactly a year after launching the original GamesWatch website in 2018 I am launching the new and improved version of the game reference website for game creators and game fans. For those of you who aren’t familiar with GamesWatch, I would like to tell you about what it is and how it came to be.

The initial idea of GamesWatch came to me back in 2017 while I was playing Mad Max on PS4. I was enjoying the the game and its small design details so, so much. It made me realise that as an UI designer, I could learn a lot from games. I wished there was a place where I could browse a vast collection of game designs and this motivated me to make a crudely coded HTML prototype of how this page could look like. …
