Belacam v3.2 Patch Notes
October 28, 2018
These patch notes cover the upgrades that come with Belacam v3.2. To read the previous patch notes for Belacam v3.1, click here. Now, let’s introduce the new features and bug fixes that our team made over the past week!
Video Support
Ever since our web launch on July 20th, Belacam has only supported photos and GIFs. We’ve heard our users tell us how they’d love to be able to create, share, and monetize videos as well. It’s an important step for us as a company to move into the video space.
Experimental: Scroll-to-Top Button
When users scroll down far on the desktop site, a new scroll-to-top button will appear on the right-hand side. When clicked, the feed will be scrolled quickly back to the top. We would love your feedback on this feature! The button does not appear on mobile browsing.
Reduced Barriers to Referral Link Applications
Previously, users were required to confirm their email, deposit 50 Bela, and earn $1 on the site before applying for a referral link. We removed the latter two requirements to make referral links easier to get. Regardless, we will continue to aggressively police the referral for spam and cheating.
Bug Fixes
Added the Belacam logo to the Twitter preview card
Fixed a memory leak on our Celery worker
Increased optimization of our admin control panel
Enhanced the posting form performance, which increased user-facing speed and helps us reduce backend costs
