Becoming an AI engineer journey | Day 03 🤖
On day three, I received three AI badges from Google. ‘Introduction to Generative AI’, ‘Introduction to Large Language Models’, and ‘Introduction to Responsible AI’
Come on, it's time to embark on an adventure! Let's hop into the boat and explore the unknown. Are you ready for some excitement? Let's go!
Google provides us with free learning paths to build our skills. Cloud skills boost — This 10-course learning path will teach us the principles of Generative AI by Google Cloud professionals.
So, What is actually Generative AI?
Generative AI is like a creative robot that can make things like pictures, music, or even stories all by itself. It learns from lots of examples and then comes up with its original creations. So, it’s like having a smart friend who can make new things just by learning from what it sees or hears!
What is Large Language Models?
Large Language Models are super smart computers that understand and generate human-like language. They’re like giant brains that read a lot of text and learn how to talk and write just like people do. So, when you ask them questions or give them a topic, they can give you really good answers or even write stories, just like a very smart friend who knows a lot about words and sentences!
What is Responsible AI?
Responsible AI means teaching computers to be good and fair, just like teaching people to be kind and fair. It’s making sure that when we use AI, it doesn’t hurt anyone or make unfair decisions. It’s like teaching a robot to always do the right thing and be a good helper to everyone.
To learn more about these three, Go Cloud skills are boosted by Google.
After receiving these three badges, I learned that the following courses include lab sessions, thus I believe I lack the necessary expertise. After I’ve gained enough information, I’ll take the remaining courses.
So then I found this course on Linkedin: AI Engineering Essentials: Navigating the Tech Revolution by John Maeda and I completed it. It’s not a free course but we can watch video tutorials free. If you want to get a certificate, you have to purchase this course.
So, on day four, I’m hoping to start studying Python. During my NDT in Engineering, Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa, I had to study Python for the first two semesters. After completing my BEng(Hons) Software Engineering degree, I got the opportunity to create a few Python apps. So I believe I have some understanding of Python, but I plan to brush up on it on day 4. Let’s see…
Bring that rain guys let’s meet on day 4. 💪🦾
