It’s been a busy Summer, and we couldn’t be more excited to show the world what we’ve been working on.
On September 22nd, The World of Ether Beta will be launching publicly for the whole world to play.
There’s now a countdown on https://worldofether.com/ and when the time hits 00:00:00:00, the World of Ether Beta will deploy on Rinkeby Test Net.
What to Know About the Beta
This Beta contains our Main Net Version 1 game mechanics. It should have everything needed for players to have a smooth, secure, and addictingly fun experience.
With this said, it’s still a Beta, and we value everybody’s testing to make sure the Main Net release is as great as possible.
All feedback is appreciated. We plan on having a channel in our Discord for this and we’ve created beta@worldofether.com for users to email.
Once we launch on Main Net, there will also be extra features, such as translations, updated battles, and of course, iterations from Beta included.
How to Play the World of Ether Beta
It’s very easy!
Make sure you’re connected to Rinkeby Test Network (on the MetaMask browser extension)and load up on Test Net Ether. We recommend doing this in advance.
When the World of Ether Beta deploys, you will be able to use this Test Ether to buy eggs, which you can hatch into Etherians and play with.
If you need to know how to get Test Net Ether, here’s how:
- Switch over your MetaMask to, “Rinkeby Test Network.”
2. Copy your MetaMask wallet address.
3. Go to Google+ or Twitter and post a tweet/update with your copied address.
4. Copy the link of that update.
5. Go to https://faucet.rinkeby.io/
6. Enter your copied link and click, “Give me Ether.” Choose an option from the dropdown. We recommend, “18.75 Ethers / 3 days.”
If you’re successful, you’ll see something that looks like this:
