Talako catches up to Frieda and they begin to walk back together.

Talako apologizes to a still angry Frieda, admitting that he should have paid attention to the signs, as they walk home
Talako is only semi-consciously flexing as he apologizes. There has been a strong correlation between getting away with something and how good his hair looks in the past, so he has become conditioned to flaunt it when he’s got it.
Talako nervously asks how good a psychic they were, since their eyes were filled with pity when Talako’s future was discussed
Talako was unsettled by the look in The Psychic’s eyes as they discussed Talako’s future.
Frieda says that The Psychic is “scary good” but that they would have mentioned if something bad was about to happen. …right?
Ah, Talako, I don’t think you’re going to enjoy this year.

Author’s Note:

Publication schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday (but Christmas means family so there is likely to be an interruption at some point there!)

Feel free to subscribe if you would prefer reminders to check. Your interest means a lot to me.
