📸- Senggigi & Kuta, Lombok Indonesia
We left Gili T and shortly after Maeghan got super sick, possibly from food poisoning that morning. Our first 24 hours in Lombok were spent on the floor in our jungle villa dealing with the feeling of dying... then having a 2nd wind 48 hours later and ready to start exploring.
Everyone in our village was so nice and friendly, it was such a breathe of fresh air to be able to just have small chat with your neighbours(without the expectation of haggling you for something).
We rented a scooter and traveled beach to beach exploring Lombok. You could tell that Lombok is well on its way to be developed as much as its sister island Bali — trendy stores, surf shops and North American food. But the best part about the island is the small number of tourists and incredible scenery.

We rented a scooter and drove around beach to beach and had a super great drone session at each one 😊
We met these two girls Lisa (11yrs) and Celia (8yrs) who were selling bracelets on the beach. We declined the purchase but got to practice speaking english with them. They played tick-tack-toe with us, sang songs with us and were so sweet and kind. When we left the beach they came to give us a high five and a hug and told us to come visit them again one day.
