Strengthen the Ship of Relationship! (The Ship of Relationship — 2)
The Ship of Relationship 1 — Prevent the Ship of Relationship from Drowning!
The Ship of Relationship 3 — Fake it, but with a Genuine Heart!
The Ship of Relationship 4 — Assume, and help the ship sink!
“You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.” — Sam Keen
The world we live in is perfectly imperfect by design, and so are the people of this world! Often we don’t want to strengthen a relationship because the other person seems to be galore of imperfections. And I must admit, no one is an exception!
The goal should not be to just Prevent the Ship of Relationship from Drowning, but to strengthen it!
“The royal road to a man’s heart is to talk to him about the things he treasures most.” — Dale Carnegie
After giving the revolutionary knowledge of Bhagavad Gita, Krishna didn’t order Arjuna to obey Him, but allowed Arjuna to make his own decision (Bhagavad Gita 18.72). This demonstrates a sensitive investment by respecting other person’s unique personality.
A relation is not just meant to have fun together. Its to connect to the other individual at a deeper level. How? By sharing our deep emotions and our feelings. By having meaningful and loving exchanges. By investing time, attention, interest, and care in each other.
It’s a basic human need to share our heart with someone to be happy. And that can happen only if we have a strong relation! So, go ahead and strengthen your ship of relationship with those special to you!
