Time in Dreams Part 1

The Day Out of Time

December 30, 2020, felt very much as a day out of time. For the Maya it is July 25th of every year, the 365th day in culmination of the 13 Moon Calendar year, closing 13 moons of 28 days = 364 days, giving way to the Maya New Year in July 26.

“As a day free of time, it is said to be charged with spiritual energy and with an atypical opening of energy portals which allows a more intense connection with the spiritual world.” [1] WeMystic, 2023

As a point of separation, tradition suggests that it is the perfect day for reverence, for letting go of the past, for doing closing ceremonies, asking for forgiveness, for cleansing in hot springs or temazcales, for gratefulness and acknowledging our blessings in a way that prepares us to jump into a new cycle.

A New Earth

On December 30, a magical, strong wind swept all of Mexico throughout the entire day, cleaning it all up. Personally, the final clearing of unwanted stuff — that was not mine but nevertheless, was in my reality — also took place throughout the entire day. The garbage truck would be picking up tons of things on the 31st.

When at night I was finally alone, a sense of cleanliness and order floated merrily in the air inside the house. As I stepped outside, into the garden, I saw what had been skimmed off of trees and plants and an astounding silence took me by surprise, as if all of my neighbors had agreed to just do nothing. There was no sound of TVs, no cars, no people walking by, no sirens, no nothing.

I looked up into the sky only to marvel at the myriad of bright stars visible, as if I was in a remote corner of the Earth and not in the middle of an enormous city. The winds had cleared the energies and the sky so thoroughly that there were not even clouds around to block one of the most beautiful full moons I had ever seen.

It became clear to me that many cycles on planet Earth had come to an end. Silence, a beautiful sky, and a gentle breeze was all that was left on that humbling and magnificent day. A day to behold, a day to be grateful for, a day out of time.

Ground Zero

Literally, on the 31st, I felt a new dawn coming to planet Earth. At first light, I received this message: “If you choose to stay, you will find the experience fascinating, breathtaking, an adventure in every sense of the word.”

True. Within a few years, the planet had made the necessary adjustments to reach a new level of consciousness, but from then on, for most of us it would be intense, even daunting.

December 31 was ground zero. Despite the foreseeable and unavoidable unfolding of many dynamics, unlimited potentials lay in front of each one of us that were not a simple causality coming from whatever action of the past: they were new. That was the magic behind 2020.

It seemed only fitting to ask, what next? How do we create a beautiful experience? Do we have any say on how the planet will look like? Can we dream the future?

The answer is yes; we can dream not only the future but also the past.

Dreaming of Potential Futures

Dreams show us what is possible in the future, and also what could have been possible in the past.

When dreaming of the future, it is quite literally like sending a probe to feel a particular scenario and decide whether we want it to unfold in this 3D reality or not.

Even if we remember the dream, and even if it is lucid, the part of us that chooses is hardly our conscious self; in dreams, too, creation is an allowing. But it is true that there is a digestion and evaluation of potentials continuously taking place.

When we tap into dreams of the collective it is a little bit more complex because those possible future scenarios are the sum of cumulative choices. But know that we are not helpless in the light of them. The more conscious-people encounter dreams of undesirable futures, the more probable it is for that outcome — the real experience, to change, always for the better. The reason is that in the act of observing, energy disentangles and clears itself.

The following is a good example:

On August 29, 2020, I saw myself with my Mom, eating seafood on a beach very similar to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. In a second scene years ahead, I was with my friend Rick on that same beach. We were looking for that same place to eat, but having to walk through white garbage, as far as the eye could see. It was trash all right, but interestingly, it was not filthy — only white.

In this dream sequence I saw the future in a less catastrophic manner than I could have imagined, but even that future transforms because I saw it in dreams.

More than once, people around me have been conscious of a potential earthquake, and mostly panic if they dream about it. But I contend that this is good news, the more conscious people are aware of these potentials, the less probable it is that they come to pass. I expand on the progression of dreaming in The Dream I Dreamed.

Also on August 29, 2020 I dreamt of another future scenario. I was an architect and had just finished building a modern house. The investors came in to check it out while I waited with my father in the dining room, which had wide-open retractile picture-windows all around. These men were somber and appeared to be in a bad mood. To impress them, I activated the mechanism by which the house encapsulated itself instantaneously.

That was the house of the future, capable of entirely isolating itself from the exterior to clean itself from any kind of external pollution, like the anti-smog domes above the playgrounds of some of the most prestigious schools in Beijing.

And considering overpopulation, it made sense that the rooms of the house were tiny, with nothing but a bed.

Don’t worry, you and me, conscious dreamers, are changing the future.

Dreaming of Potentials Pasts

As I mentioned, we can also dream of potentials of the past that never came to pass.

On September 4, 2007, years after the real death of Jacqueline Onassis that occurred in 1994, I dreamt of her assassination in a museum in Germany. I was standing outside of this one-story structure when the knowingness hit me.

But as we all know, this never happened; it was JFK that was assassinated not even five months after his visit to Germany on June 22, 1963.

As it so happens, Jacqueline did not accompany her husband because she was ill with her pregnancy so she asked her sister, Janet Lee Bouvier, to take her place. If she had been there, I contend that probably there would have been a Museum as part of the tour as it was her personal interest.

But how does dreaming of potential pasts impacts our reality? For now I can only say that I know the past can be transformed, but this my own exploration, one on which I will be reporting. Please share your own findings, too.

Destiny vs. Dreams

Of course, some things are inevitable. The exploration of the human race in outer space is inevitable — I will write about it in a future post. But do not be fooled by the intense nature of any dream when they present a future potentital — or the past, for that matter, because nothing is set.

Things feel like predestined because the energy has been set into motion in a given direction, by so many people, for so long, that few remember that they can command it otherwise, at any time.

Yes, there is so much more to say about this, and it’s true that you should only attempt to command the energy that belongs to you and your reality but, as I said, being present and conscious of the energy dynamics awake or asleep, helps all of us.

Also note that it is possible to choose consciously what you want to dream, and always a good idea to focus on what you really want to see manifested in your life and the planet.

Just for the joy of it, I am looking into taping in dreams to a near future where the planet is brimming with trees. That is not only a possible potential, but also highly probable. Ponder it.

But what is true is that when being outside of time and leaving the past behind, we are forced to design our future.

May you have a beautiful 2021,
