About me
My life has been a series of unfortunate events, which led me to adapt the Amor Fati belief. Even if I do not agree with most of the teachings of the philosopher with whom it is associated, I cannot help but find the poetic beauty in such teachings. Though it was hard at first to accept the tragedies of my life, I realised my boundless optimism in the face of adversity was also a failure to grieve.
The more I looked at myself in a more compassionate and loving manner, the more I eventually turned into a romantic. Not in the classic sense of love between people. I fell in love with the beauty of nature and even became an avid reader of historical romance all throughout high school (my favourite authors at the time being Shannon Drake/Heather Graham, and Nora Roberts).
I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. My passion was English throughout high school. However, giving up on my dream to become a journalist, I ended up going to York University for Business and Accounting. Then, after university, I returned to college to study law enforcement…
