About Me — Konstantina Sidiropoulou
“Ah, how good it is to be among people who are reading.” — Rainer Maria Rilke
Hello!
My name is Konstantina and I’m from Greece, so naturally English isn’t my mother tongue. I do, however, love learning new languages and having studied English since being fairly young, inspired me to try my hand at writing on Medium.
In the past, I’ve written articles for an online Greek magazine exclusively for their Literature column. Although I loved writing mainly about books- considering the fact that I am a bookworm by definition- sticking to a niche can be exhausting, so I’m hoping to branch out on this platform and write about a plethora of other topics.
I hope to write stories that resonate with people, whether that be about my love for the natural sciences, psychology or art in all of its forms.
Apart from writing articles and essays, I enjoy writing poetry, as well as short stories. My love for writing stories began as early as my middle school years, when my fairytale about a magical flower won first place in my school district competition. Ever since then, writing has always been on the back of my mind as something I want to pursue. However, fear of failure stopped me time and time again from daring to venture out into the field.
