Truncheon and teargas in hand, firearm-slinging brutes, inflict grievous bodily harm on innocent people, time after time, with no fear of repercussion. Hurl the harmless into an early grave. Sorrow stains the streets.
Families torn asunder. A small child in a little bunny hat, alone with masked monsters, lips trembling, too frightened to cry. An ICU nurse who will never take another pulse. Sorrow stains the streets.
Due process has been flung out the window while the morning newspapers tell terrible tales about the politics of power. Still, the streets stained with sorrow swallow sinless blood.
This is not democracy, but evil autocratic rule
