“Our DNA carries the legacy of our ancestors, connecting us to our past and grounding us in our sense of belonging.” — Oprah Winfrey

DNA often called the blueprint of life, holds the genetic instructions guiding the development, functioning, and growth of all living organisms.

It’s like a unique recipe book passed down from our parents, shaping our physical traits and health predispositions, including eye color, hair texture, and susceptibility to diseases.

Over generations, this genetic information weaves a rich tapestry of familial history, connecting us to our ancestors across continents and time.

Fueled by a quest for answers, I embarked on a captivating journey into my family’s genetic legacy, seeking to unravel the mysteries encoded within my DNA.

Background

Growing up in Brazil, my family history has always been a mystery to me. My mother and father hailed from humble small towns in the States of Pernambuco and Bahia, respectively.
