A weakness or strength
What does it mean to be soft?
Does it mean being weak? Vulnerable? Or maybe it just means being easy to manipulate.
We live in a world where people feed off the weakness of others.
A world where gentle minds are suppressed and taken advantage of. In today’s reality, it often feels like you’re either the oppressor or the oppressed—rarely anything in between.
Look at those at the top of society—those with power and fame. In one way or another, many of them are oppressors, whether in their professional lives or personal ones.
Even in school, we’ve seen how bullying happens—not always physical, but emotional too. Some students pick on others just to feel superior, to be praised, or to outshine someone in class. Some have even gone as far as taking a classmate’s partner simply because they have more influence or social clout.
But here’s the big question:
What happens to the oppressed?
The so-called “soft” ones—the quiet, the reserved, the ones who don’t speak up. Those without privilege, money, or fame.
Another question I’ve often asked myself:
Why are most “soft” people introverted?
I say this because I used to be one of them. I rarely spoke up. I was always shy, trying not to be noticed in class. But that was the old me. I’ve grown, faced those parts of myself, and overcome them—even if I still tend to be quiet.
