The fourth quarter was a big one in terms of work done for ADAMANT Messenger: we invested more than 9600 hours in the project and completed 16 important tasks. You know all that from our blog and social networks. However, we do not plan to slow down: recently we’ve updated the roadmap and 19 tasks have already been planned for the first quarter of the year. Let’s talk about the most important ones and recap the results achieved.

Last quarter of 2018: the most important events

We consider the ADM release on stock exchange the main event of 2018. A lot of preparatory work was made — thorough resources estimations and negotiations as well as developing the token integration with exchangers. Currently the ADM token is being traded on three exchanges, including Bit-Z from top 10 exchanges by trading volume.

We’ve released updates for all ADAMANT Messenger apps and added new cryptocurrencies: Bit-Z and Binance Coin exchanges’ tokens and Lisk (in iOS version). We developed new software for installing nodes and forging pools, as well as 2FA concept based on ADAMANT.

Future plans

One of the key directions of 2019 is the speed increase. We plan to implement three innovations which are the new API, connection via socket and display of unconfirmed transactions. These things will shorten the message delivery time to 0–2 seconds.

We have planned the ADAMANT Messenger release in Google Play which is now available for testing. There will also be an official release of our 2FA app.

We plan to integrate new cryptocurrencies in 2019 with Bitcoin being the most anticipated. The functionality will be the same as with the rest of coins: transferring in chats, storage in ADAMANT wallet and full transactions control.

Other innovations concerning the messenger’s functionality are planned: quoting messages, searching in the chat and other nice things. The design is also to be improved: new app themes for apps, redesign of the block explorer.

Learn more about the planned tasks in the roadmap. And if you are a delegate, share your ideas in Slack.
