Grooveshark was a free web-based music application that enabled internet users to listen to music on-demand.

Main reasons for failure:
- Legal - Grooveshark was shut down because of a legal settlement between the company and copyright owners. The copyright owners accused the company of sharing 5,000 songs with copyright infringement because users were able to download their songs to the device even though they didn’t have the rights.

Nowadays
Andres Barreto has founded two companies: Cloudomatic, the easiest way for business and individuals to discover Software as a Service application (acquired by GetAmbassador) and Onswipe, enables publishers to provide the best browsing and advertising experience to their readers on tablet and touch devices (purchased by BeanstockMedia). Now is a General Partner at Firstrock Capital.
Sam Tarantino is the founder Chromatic.fm (the world’s first social radio)
Josh Greenberg is no longer with us
