Safety is our Priority
At Aeriosense it’s our mission to improve the reliability and safety of infrastructure. And we want to accomplish that while keeping the well-being and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients as the top priority. Working with unmanned aerial vehicles and high-voltage infrastructure has a set of unique safety challenges, but the protocol which we follow minimizes risks and ensures that everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.
As recognition for our commitment to creating a safe working environment, Aeriosense has achieved multiple certificates and awards. The occupational health and safety management system which we implemented has achieved a certificate of recognition in compliance with WorkSafeBC standards, as well as registration with ISNetWorld. We have also been awarded the Topaz Pinnacle Award from Occupational Safety Standard of Excellence (OSSE) for developing and implementing a comprehensive health and safety management system which adheres to OSSE certification standards.
Aeriosense has developed a safety protocol which ensures that safety is at the top of mind for all employees. Every single day in the field, employees review the current work environment, potential hazards, and emergency procedures in the case of an incident.
Safety equipment such as hard hats, high visibility vests, and satellite radios and routinely inspected and are worn at all times while on the job.
As part of our safety protocol, we have a system of accountability and reporting which prevents any employee from performing work which they feel is unsafe. In addition, all employees know who to contact regarding potential hazards or incidents.
With the Covid-19 pandemic, Aeriosense has taken extra precautions to ensure the safety of our employees, their families, and the general public. We have implemented new Covid specific protocols including limiting the number of employees allowed in the same vehicle, a work-from-home system, social distancing while on the job, and mandatory reporting of any symptoms.
