How AI Reads Big Text Data — Langchain and Pinecone
Ever wondered how an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system can quickly find a answer within a large data?
Everyone is talking about Langchain and Pinecone. This complex mechanism can be explained in a simplified example. If you want to understand recent trend of creating GPT Agent with your custom knowledge like Langchain and Pinecone, this article is for you.
Imagine a massive library packed with countless books. Each book contains a unique story.
How can you find the story you want among all these books?
This is where Artificial Intelligence comes into play. Think of AI as a super-fast reader, able to read every book in the library in no time at all.
Once AI has read all the books, it does something quite special. It doesn’t write a book review like we might do. Instead, it creates a unique list for each story it has read. This list is a collection of symbols and signs that describe each story, kind of like a treasure map for each book.
AI doesn’t just leave these unique story maps lying around. They’re carefully stored in a special digital box. This box is like a safe, keeping all these valuable story maps ready for when they’re needed.
What will happen if you ask a question to AI
When you want to read a specific story, like “Harry Potter” you don’t have to search through the entire library. You just ask the AI “Tell me about Harry Potter”. It then tells the digital box to find the map that is related “Harry Potter”. As soon as the box locates the right map, it tells the AI where to find the book. And just like that, AI presents you with the book “the Philosopher’s Stone” storyline!
That’s how AI navigates through a vast library of stories. This is known as a Document Ingestion System, a term that simply means AI can read, understand, summarise, store and find documents as needed. This makes our journey to find a text a lot easier!
AI is becoming more and more a part of our everyday lives. Knowing how it works can help us appreciate the incredible ways it simplifies our search for the answer.
