AirGap Vault Now Supports imToken Wallet
With the new integration of the QR-Code standard EIP 4527 into imToken, users can now secure their funds via the Cold Wallet AirGap. Developed collaboratively by AirGap and others in 2022, the EIP 4527 standard expands the possibilities to interact with multiple wallets.
Enhancing security whilst having fantastic usability
In November of 2023, imToken launched its newest version 2.14.0 with support of ERC-4527, and joined the list of Wallets that allow their user to connect with Cold Wallets via QR codes. Now AirGap and imToken joined forces to give its users enhanced security whilst having fantastic usability. imToken can now serve as a user-friendly watch-only wallet that allows users to view their balance and initiate transactions whilst the Vault signs transactions and protects their private keys offline. The communication between the two solutions and the signing of transactions happens seamlessly without the use of cables, thanks to verifiable QR codes.

Setting Up AirGap Vault with imToken Wallet
Getting started is a breeze with our simple three-step guide:
- Download, install, and set up imToken Wallet.
2. Download AirGap Vault from the Google Play store, App Store, or directly from GitHub and install it on a dedicated offline device. Follow the setup guide here or watch the video guide. The setup takes no longer than 5 minutes.
3. Now head over to your imToken Wallet. After you reach the home screen, tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. Then, tap the Plus button.
4. Now, select the “Connect with other wallets” option and tap Other QR-based wallets.
5. Now, open the AirGap Vault app on the other phone and select the account you want to link to imToken. Then, select imToken wallet.
6. A QR code will appear. Scan this code with the imToken app and check the account that you want to import. Tap Continue.
7. Viola! You have successfully connected AirGap Vault with the imToken Wallet.
