After enabling announcing the support for Tezos Delegations to the tezosAirGap baker (10% fee) with AirGap Wallet 2.3.0 last month the support for every Tezos Baker comes with version 2.6.1 of AirGap Wallet.

Why use AirGap to delegate?

The AirGap offline approach provides one of the most secure ways to interact with the Tezos protocol. By generating a secret that has never touched a device with network connectivity, you can follow a cold storage approach that big players like Coinbase utilize. Keeping your Tezos holdings totally secured without losing the ability to delegate, send transactions and earn rewards.

How does it work?

Delegations in AirGap Wallet are really simple, they can be done with only one transaction. Whereas most existing wallets have a somewhat cumbersome user experience in terms of delegations, AirGap allows to delegate from a tz account by signing only one transaction thus bundling the creation of a kt account, transferring the funds to the new account and delegating the account to your chosen baker.

1 ¬ Tezos account / 2 ¬ Enter address / 3 ¬ Delegate

1 ¬ Tezos account
After setting up your AirGap Vault and AirGap Wallet outlined in the AirGap — setp by step guide, you can select your tz account and then “Delegation”.

2 ¬ Enter baker address
You can either decide to delegate to tezosAirGap or enter the address provided by your baker with the “Change Baker” dialog.

3 ¬ Delegate
After entering the address you will have an overview of the bakers details. Click on “Delegate” and sign the transaction with AirGap Vault. A new kt account with your funds will be created and delegate to your selected baker.

What is next for delegation in AirGap

With the goal of AirGap to improve the usability we will introduce a simpler way to select a baker in the future and provide more relevant information.
