The Complete Guide to Alethena’s Share Dispenser

Get Ready!
- Install MetaMask and connect to the Share Dispenser (there will be an automatic pop-up once you loaded the website). MetaMask is a great piece of software you can use to manage all of your ERC20 Ethereum tokens. The wallet is an extension you can add to your Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Opera browser.
- Get a small amount of Ether (ETH), e.g. 0.1 ETH, in order to pay for the smart contract executions and sufficient ETH to obtain Crypto Francs (XCHF) for the share purchase. You can choose the crypto exchange of your choice (e.g. Coinbase or Lykke).
- Payments should be made in Crypto Francs (XCHF). Therefore the next step is to obtain a sufficient amount of XCHF for your purchase. Smaller volumes of XCHF can be bought and sold for ETH on IDEX and Token Store, both decentralised exchanges, or on Uniswap, a simple smart contract interface for swapping ERC20 tokens. For larger amounts please visit here (the minimum volume for both issuance & redemption directly through Swiss Crypto Tokens is CHF 1’000) or open a trading account on Bitfinex or Ethfinex.
Buy and Sell Your Shares!
Note: The selling process follows the same procedure as the buying process with the sole exception that no registration in our shareholder registry at Ledgy is necessary.
- Assuming that you have a sufficient amount of XCHF on your account, select the number of shares to buy (or to sell) in the Share Dispenser frontend. The minimum amount is fixed at 20 shares per trade. Now click on “Buy Now” (or “Sell Now”).
- In the first pop-up, please accept that you acknowledge the terms set forth in the Prospectus, Share Token Terms, and the Alethena Privacy Policy.
- Continuing, please read carefully the process description in the second pop-up and then click «Proceed».
- Confirm now the first MetaMask pop-up. Important: Transactions on the blockchain can take a while to process and please Do Not Refresh the Window.
- After the first transaction went through, please confirm now the second MetaMask pop-up. Important: Transactions on the blockchain can take a while to process and please Do Not Refresh the Window.
Become an Active Alethena Shareholder!
- After finalising the second transaction, please register in our shareholder registry at Ledgy to become a shareholder with executable rights.
