The results are in and our members have spoken! We raised $1,853 from our Members and Partners for the 2016 Members’ Choice Prize. And the results are in.

Winner GiveDirectly

Our February selection received 36 percent of the total vote. We’re excited to be sending them 50 percent of the 2016 Prize — $931. We can’t wait to see how they put our donations to use!

Runner Up Project Healthy Children (PHC)

PHC was selected as our April nonprofit and they received 27 percent of our Members’ votes. We’ll be sending them 25 percent of the Prize — $468.

The rest of the Prize will be distributed evenly to our remaining 2016 organizations — which comes to $46 per nonprofit. It’s not a huge amount, but as we know, these effective organizations will be sure to put every dollar to use.

It was a big year for Altruist and we can’t wait to see what we can accomplish 2017! We more than doubled our 2015 donations for a total of $3,323, and as our donations continue to grow we are showing the true power of an inclusive community dedicated to making a positive impact on the world.
