Evolution of a day…
Evening mutes to gray,Black silence on the waters,Before crickets sing.
A haiku…
The dawn is yawning…
Steamy sunrise from the pond,
Alligators grin.
a tanka about falling
A Haiku
The pond a glass pane
Showing birds above diving,
Their sharp knives cut water.
The turtles surface
The brackish water above
Like round submarines.
A grey shroud covers
Damp grasses bleed their dank tears
As earth soaks up their sorrow.
A brief storm whispers,
Wet freckles on the water,
As fresh rainbows grin.
I hold my breath tight
Underneath the churning waves,
I am tossed laundry.
Pool opens its mouth
To swallow me with water.
I slide through smooth throat.
