Don’t Make it Personal
And What I Mean By It
I remain astounded at how many people are incapable of having a constructive conversation and how many believe that because you put your thoughts on the “Internet” you are entitled to abuse. No wonder we have so many problems in today’s digital landscape.
I ask all me readers to not make it personal. What do I mean by that?
In short, I mean do not reference me in anyway in your comment. Stick to the issue I am talking about in the article.
Too many people believe they can read minds, what emotion I am feeling now or at the time I wrote the article. Too many people project their own emotions on to me, they are angry, so must be as well.
However, the craziest thing I discovered when I wrote an article about Tom and Giselle, is that too many people become unhinged when they cannot control me; mostly of course the people who did not like the article. Interesting for an issue that may ultimately come down to people being unwilling to communicate and compromise, instead wishing to control.
