How to Earn Data bricks Certification
Hey Folks,
With the increase in the amount of data we are accumulating, the need for making informed decisions & understanding customer desires are at peak due to which, companies have started using big data in there systems.
Data bricks is an awesome platform where people working in all the dimensionalities of data be it Data analyst, data engineer or data scientist, can work and collaborate.
Databricks means you can get the most out of your data and people for all business use-cases. In my quest to learn databricks & use it more efficiently, I came across the data bricks learning path, where individuals can get necessary skills & in turn get themselves certified.
The databricks certifications are available for following tracks:
- Data Analyst
- Data Engineer
- ML Data scientist
The first prerequisite in all the above certifications is “Data Lakehouse fundamentals” which we can take free by registering on the databricks Website.
Each track except the data analyst track has 2 certifications namely the associate level & professional level certifications.
The cost for the certification is $200 for the first attempt and $50 for the sequent attempts. There are also several events which occur throughout the year after which we can get a free voucher for any certification of your choice.
Next, databricks has a wide variety of resources which can help you plan for the certification in a better way, they are as follows:
- Data Bricks Community edition: This account provides you with access to clusters where you can run & take the feel on working with big data, all you need is a working email & zeal to learn, check out my guide on how to setup your own community edition HERE.
- Data Bricks Academy github page: This repo contains all the code which can we tested on the community edition & can help you learn a lot of stuff.
- Databrick youTube Channel: This cannel contains the recording of the Data & AI submit along with the news about the latest developments & features for databricks.
