Anchor’s best news is now available with Amazon Alexa
As of today, you can now hear the top Anchor news stations with Amazon Alexa on devices like the Echo, Echo dot, or any other device that supports Alexa. After the initial setup, all you have to say is “Alexa, give me my Flash Briefing” to hear the day’s best updates right in your home.
Earlier this year, we introduced Anchor 2.0 and our new, signature short-form audio format. Since then, we’ve seen the platform come to life with useful, unique, and interesting news stations being broadcast by people all over the world. Whether you’re looking for global headlines, American politics, theories about your favorite show, new video game releases and updates, or even just wacky stories from around the internet, Anchor’s got something for everyone. Our users have loved being able to hear them on the go with the Anchor app for iOS or Android, but sometimes you just want to be hands free.
Our new integration with Amazon Alexa lets you hear your favorite Anchor news stations (including your own personalized Rundown) not only on your phone, but also in your home. It’s perfect for starting your day or catching up on what you missed in the evening.
To try it out, just say “Alexa, enable the Anchor News Rundown” to hear the latest news brief from the Rundown. It’s that easy.
