Meet the newest Anchor Rundowns
Get daily audio summaries for Sports, Entertainment, and Science in addition to your customized News Rundown — only on Anchor.
A few months ago, we launched the Anchor Rundown: a personalized, twice-daily station which gives each listener their local weather, the latest headlines, exclusive interviews with journalists and subject matter experts, an interactive trivia question, and other fun surprises. If you use your real name in the Anchor app, it also says your name out loud, which is pretty fun:
The News Rundown’s been a huge hit.
Many Anchor users tell us that the Rundown is the first thing they listen to when they wake up in the morning or head home from work/school in the evening. (If you’re not yet listening to your own personalized News Rundown, you should be. Get it exclusively in the Anchor app for iOS or Android!) And it’s not just because of the aforementioned magic features — people love having a quick audio summary of the news they’ve missed since they last caught up on the world.

Comedian Olivia Harewood provides hilarious commentary on entertainment news, industry happenings, and celebrity gossip — from on the ground in Los Angeles. Whether you’re a casual consumer of movies/TV/music or you’re obsessed with the latest Brad Pitt rumors, we dare you to try to make it through one of Olivia’s updates without laughing out loud.
The Science Rundown
Brought to you by Professor Pedro Flores (PhDs, MAS, RRT), you can look to the Science Rundown for breaking news and trends in the world of science and health. Pedro’s also a health practitioner, so you can expect his Rundown to be sprinkled with daily tips on how to be your best self (diet, sleep, exercise, you name it).
The Sports Rundown
Professional host and lifetime sports fanatic Danny Hoyt updates you on breaking news, developing stories, and scores; no sport is off limits. This Rundown’s probably our most interactive, as Danny encourages other fans to call in with their own hot takes, predictions, and reactions.
