Balancer Grants Wave Two Is Live
The new grants round for Balancer DAO is now accepting applications
We’re excited to announce that the Balancer Grants DAO has their new Grants Round live and is accepting grant applications following a forum discussion and a successful vote by the Balancer community to get started.
Last round was a success with 11 grants given with a total of $462k allocated. To read about the achievements, check out that wave’s Final Report here. Or join us this Wednesday, November 3rd at14:00 CET. We will host a Round Up on Discord where our grantees can give a short update and we will end with a Q&A!
This round will last 3 months and has a budget of 42,500 BAL (~$1.1M at today’s valuation) to distribute to Balancer Grantees and RFPs. Doubling in size compared to last wave!
The BAL Grant program provides support and funding ($1K — $75K) to projects committed to supporting Balancer Protocol in achieving its mission to become the number one source for Decentralized exchange trades.
About Balancer Grants
At Balancer Grants, we want our grantees to feel heard and supported, not only financially. That is why we aim to make the application process as clear as possible and why we have a dedicated support group to help out.
This wave round, the committee has expanded with Baller ZeKraken becoming a committee member, Luuk taking the Venture Lead role, Jguk fulfilling the RFP Lead role and we are still looking for someone as the Marketing/BizDev Lead for the community. All of these new roles will explore decentralizing and building out the BalancerDAO.
Grant applications are reviewed by the Grants Committee, consisting of 7 Balancer Community Contributors, which looks at the reasonable viability of a grant application, its alignment with Balancer’s vision, and the capability of the Grant’s team to execute the project. The evaluation process takes about 2 weeks.
If the application is successful, you will be contacted; further steps will be discussed and you will be connected with a mentor for regular communications to keep up to date and provide support.
