Band Protocol to be next project on Binance Launchpad
We are very excited to announce that Band Protocol will be the next project to launch on Binance Launchpad!
The upcoming launch is the culmination of an immense amount of hard work over the past years since the project’s inception. It marks another significant milestone of many accomplishments achieved so far for the project — moving strength to strength with an ever growing community of 15,000+ members and 400+ active dApp developers.
Band Protocol allows dApps to leverage existing data on the internet without trusted intermediaries, acting as a secure and scalable decentralized oracle on smart contract capable blockchains. By making data readily available and reusable on-chain, Band Protocol offers a cheaper and faster solution compared with alternatives, all without compromising security. Band’s unique multi-token model and staking mechanism similar to the Delegated Proof of Stake (dPoS) consensus ensure that data is free from manipulation. Developers using Band Protocol will be able to build a wider range of dApps with integration to off-chain financial data, reputation scores, identity management systems, and much more, bringing blockchain closer to mass adoption.
One of the most significant milestones that has been accomplished so far has been the launch of the Band Protocol Testnet. Developers have already been testing and deploying dApps using Band Protocol data feeds, with minimal lines of code to add, made easy by the extensive developer documentation available. CoinHatcher was the first dApp built on Band Protocol that enables the community to self curate cryptocurrency news and insights, with over 30,000 active participants so far — providing an example of what is possible and that we are excited for what others may build using Band. The team is working hard to build partnerships that will accelerate the adoption of Band Protocol throughout the blockchain industry.
