In the first part of our series #UXwithbantu, we showed you how we improved our account sign up process to be more seamless and fuss-free.

Now in Part 2, let us show you how easy it is to sign up for volunteering opportunities with bantu.

1. “What skills do you have?”

Interested in volunteering for this project “Dog Adoption Center Volunteering”? 🐶 You start by selecting “I want to volunteer”.

Next, select from the list of skills that you have, based on what the project requires.

In this case, you need to be able to teach “Primary School English” to be a “Volunteer Tutor (Primary School)”.

2. “What role would you like to contribute as?”

We want to help organisations find volunteers that can best contribute to their cause based on their skill sets and experiences.

Depending on the skills you have, you will be able to select the related roles available.

Hover over each role for a more detailed description of what it entails. This way, you know exactly what you’re in for e.g. “Volunteer Tutor (Primary School)”

3. “When are you available?”

After you click on a role, select one or multiple time slots that you want to volunteer for:

If you find that something crops up and you are unable to volunteer for the time slot that you have signed up for, you can withdraw from them anytime using your bantu volunteer account.

Hooray! Your sign up is now complete 🎉😎

The organisation will now look through your sign up and contact you if they need any further clarifications. Once your sign up is approved, you will receive an email confirmation from us containing more details of the volunteering project.

Yup, signing up for a project is as straightforward as 1, 2, 3!
