Attention, racers!
It’s tournament season once again, and we have two events lined up leading to the much-awaited Duel Cup Open tournament.
Registration begins on February 12 (today!) for the Weekly Winter Duels, while on February 19, we’ll begin the Weekly Time Trials where you can win the limited edition Guerilla DaiHard sponsored by MakerDAO. Continue reading to learn more about the mechanics and the prizes that await!
Winter Weekly Duels
The Weekly Duels makes its return with some new rules! This time it will take place on Track 1: Woodland Forest, and the Top 2 winners will be automatically top-seeded into the Duel Cup Open.
Join our Discord server and submit the following in the #br-duels-registration channel to register:
- Battle Racers or Decentraland username
- Link to a Battle Racers car part NFT that you own (OpenSea, Arkane Market, or BattleRacers.io)
All registered players will be seeded by the order/time of registration, which will also determine podium placements in the actual race. We’ll only accept a maximum of 16 registrations per Weekly Duels, first-come-first-served. Brackets will be announced after the registration period.
Racers must schedule their Best-of-3 duels with their opponents and report their race results before the cut-off period, and winners will move on to the next round until we have a Champion.
Here is the schedule for the first Winter Weekly Duels (in Philippine time GMT+8):**
- Registration period: February 12 (Friday) 10PM to February 24 (Wednesday) 1PM
- Bracket announcement: February 24 (Wednesday) 10PM
- Tournament Leg: February 24 (Wednesday) 10PM to February 26 (Friday) 10PM
Players who have placed either 1st or 2nd in a previous Winter Weekly Duels event will not be eligible to join another Winter Weekly Duels event. Read the complete Winter Weekly Duels mechanics here.
Weekly Time Trials
Meanwhile, the Weekly Time Trials will now be a separate event to provide more opportunities to win prizes. Race on Track 2: Fossefall Freeway to set your fastest time and submit it weekly by doing the following:
a. Post on Twitter tagging @BattleRacers with the following details:
- Discord Username
- Race time
- Screenshot of the leaderboard and/or the race result screen showing your in-game name and race time.
b. Post a link to the tweet in the #br-time-trials channel on our Discord server
An exclusive Decentraland Wearable Battle Racers Soccer T-Shirt will be awarded to the #1 racer each week. One (1) lucky winner will also be drawn randomly from the top 30 submissions and will receive a Battle Racers Season 1 Gold Crate, which contains four (4) car parts!
And there’s more! All of the Top 30 fastest race-times submitted will be awarded the Guerilla DaiHard car part of the week:
- Week 1: Guerilla DaiHard Wheels
- Week 2: Guerilla DaiHard Rear
- Week 3: Guerilla DaiHard Front
- Week 4: Guerilla DaiHard Body
Here is the schedule for the Weekly Time Trials (in Philippine time GMT+8):
- Week 1: February 19 (Friday) 4AM until February 25 (Thursday) 10PM
- Week 2: February 26 (Friday) 4AM until March 4 (Thursday) 10PM
- Week 3: March 5 (Friday) 4AM until March 11 (Thursday) 10PM
- Week 4: March 12 (Friday) 4AM until March 18 (Thursday) 10PM
