BCD Report #8 — April 30th, 2019
3 months have passed since our last “Birthday Report”, which summarized BCDiploma’s achievements in 2018: building the team, product, EvidenZ patent and a brand image in the academic world. This is an opportunity for the whole team to thank you for your support, and to present the first steps forward and the challenges of this year 2019.
Who are we? What is BCD?
Blockchain Certified Data is a start-up developing an innovative B2B solution for blockchain-based data certification. We are creating the new global certification standard, with the first use case dedicated to diplomas certification: BCDiploma. The application is online and used by several customers (schools, colleges, universities and companies). Our goal: allowing each individual, company or government to prove the authenticity of their data in a single click, thanks to Blockchain technology and our framework: EvidenZ.
Business development
2019 is dedicated to business development, in France and abroad. A strategic goal: acquiring more and more users and publishing more and more certificates.

Achievments
We want to be as close as possible to our academic partners, and up until the graduation ceremony, an important moment for the first “class of BCD”.
More than 1000 diplomas have already been issued for Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico’s largest public university, and BCDiploma was presented at the big convention: Motor de Mexico.
We’ve also been to Financia Business School graduation ceremony— a loyal BCDiploma customer — who gives each student a USB key on which his BCDiploma certificate is stored.
As the first client to trust us, IAE Nantes, also issued more than 1000 certificates which were awarded in March, a first in the French university community.
New products and features
- 2 new products designed in collaboration with the “Quai des Notaires” company will be presented at the beginning of June: a first application of EvidenZ in the world of notarial certifications!
- We are about to launch MyBCDiploma, a B2C product that will allow any individual to apply for certification of their diplomas on the blockchain. Please find a sample here.
- We are now able to produce multilingual certificates, an exclusive feature allowed by EvidenZ: here is an example

Hiring
We are currently recruiting a senior business developer to increase our sales force, the contract should be signed in the upcoming weeks.

- Meet Luc in Nice on May 3rd for an afternoon conference at the University
- Meet the team in Strasbourg on May 13th at the “Assises 2019 du CSIER (Comité des Services Informatiques de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche)”
- We are a partner of the Blockchain, Open Education & Digital Citizenship conference, organized by “Université de Lille” & the Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning at the end of May: pitches and workshops are scheduled!
- We’re invited to the 4th Conference of Francophone Ministers of Higher Education in Bucharest (Romania) the week of June 18. A great opportunity to meet education stakeholders from all over the world!
