Since May 2021, things have been moving fast for EvidenZ and its team: the landmark contract to issue the TOEIC on the blockchain, the switch to production for France’s largest public university on the Avalanche blockchain, regular issuances for Binance on the Smart Chain.
The EvidenZ team, already active within EBSI, has also been selected by ESSIF-Lab: BCdiploma is funded to develop an EBSI & W3C compliant student wallet… and of course crypto in the medium term.
BCdiploma is more than ever the leader in blockchain-based Digital Credentials solutions, i.e. the publication of 100% digital and tamper-proof credentials, using EvidenZ technology.

Business development
To date, EvidenZ has 119 institutional users in 18 countries around the world on 4 continents. Click here for a complete list. You can track the number of onboarded institutions and the number of countries involved on the EvidenZ website in real-time. Today, nearly 60% of the institutions using EvidenZ are outside of France (the country of origin of the project), approximately 50% are in Europe, 25% in North America and 25% in Africa.
Although the pandemic has had a significant impact on global economic activity, the academic sector is showing significant resilience and there is excellent momentum in the Digital Credentials market, particularly in Europe and North America.

TOEIC
Clearly, the issuance of TOIECs with the BCdiploma solution is a strong indication of the worldwide adoption of our EvidenZ technology in the institutional field. This is the outcome of a long-term strategy and a huge success for the project.
The TOEIC® score certificate is now dematerialized and produced with BCdiploma’s blockchain technology. The TOEIC France YouTube channel has published the video “The TOEIC® test and the dematerialized score certificate”, showing the new format of these score certificates.
The TOEIC® Test blockchain certificate is recognized is recognized by more than 14,000 companies in more than 60 countries.
This achievement is a major step forward in the adoption of blockchain at the institutional level.

Product development and technical roadmap

In recent months, a trend is emerging: Ethereum-based blockchains offer an interesting alternative in terms of performance/costs/energy costs, while being “EVM compatible”. We believe this is a unique opportunity for EvidenZ to expand its ecosystem with other crypto projects, bringing them a real use case and introducing EvidenZ to their community. Stay tuned!
This vision is more than ever at the heart of EvidenZ’s product and crypto strategy. Already successfully deployed on BSC, Avalanche now completes the set of blockchains used in production by EvidenZ. Note that the University of Lille has chosen to issue its first 14500 digital university diplomas on Avalanche 🔺, mainly for environmental reasons.
Several experiments have been conducted on blockchains of interest to the EvidenZ ecosystem and its users, such as Huobi Heco Chain or OkEx chain. Others are currently being tested or developed, and will allow EvidenZ to reach many more ecosystems and user communities!
Porta Network is a perfect example: EvidenZ has been selected by the emerging blockchain ecosystem to deploy its solution on Porta. We will provide more details about this partnership soon.
Self Sovereign Identity
This is one of the major challenges of the decade: sovereign identity will be at the heart of Digital Credentials applications and far beyond in the years to come. As such, we are pleased to announce that we have been selected and funded by the European Union (via the NGI ESSIF-Lab program) to develop and deploy a student wallet. We are entering the Self-Sovereign Identity market through the front door.

Current projects and customer successes
University of Lille
As a reminder, the University of Lille is the largest public university in France. And now it is also one of the most innovative and advanced in the world in terms of adopting blockchain as a service to its students. In October, the university issued and distributed its academic diplomas to nearly 15,000 students on the Avalanche blockchain.
This program is the result of a long term work of the University teams in collaboration with the BCdiploma team, described here:

The University of Lille, also in charge of the French government program within EBSI, has published a White Paper “Blockchain technologies for the public sector”, detailing the EBSI diploma use case for which BCdiploma is the technical operator for France.
Binance
A little over a year after the deployment of EvidenZ on BSC, the collaboration between Binance and EvidenZ continues. After Binance Africa, France and Colombia, it is now Venezuela and its Binance Bootcamp and India and its Campus BUIDLer program that have distributed EvidenZ certificates to thousands of Binancians.
EvidenZ is regularly featured in the BSC ecosystem, and Binance’s willingness to support the French blockchain ecosystem is a strong signal: stay tuned!

Loopring
The incentive campaign is on hold, we are still waiting for the Loopring teams to know when the incentive will resume. 80,000 BCDTs remain to be distributed to date.
Increased liquidity
A significant increase in liquidity was provided on BSC, bringing the total liquidity of $BCDT to $1.3M spread across Ethereum, BSC and Loopring.

The new burnrate model is being finalized and will be presented to the community in the coming weeks.
