The association operates in 3 business schools: Institut Mines-Télécom, Kedge Marseille and Rennes School of Business, as well as 2 engineering schools: Centrale Marseille & Télécom Sud-Paris.
BCdiploma is a DApp (decentralized application) deployed in more than 90 locations worldwide. BCdiploma offers schools a turnkey service to create and share blockchain certificates: diplomas, transcripts, acquired skills, etc. BCdiploma is the first player to offer 100% blockchain certified Open Badges, for micro-certifications and modularized courses. Recently, BCdiploma is cross-chain thanks to EvidenZ: its main implementation is deployed on Ethereum, but BCdiploma is also available on ARKeducation, an ARK.io bridgechain. What is the benefit of decentralized data storage?
Decentralized data storage guarantees a maximum level of security and durability. Written on a blockchain, these data cannot be modified or altered, which makes them unforgeable. The data is copied on each node of the blockchain: their long-term preservation is thus ensured, especially since it is enough to deploy a single node to keep a local copy. How does it work?
1. Using the DApp, accessible in the form of a web application, the school (issuer) issues the credentials from its blockchain address: the data is encrypted, stored on the blockchain, and the links of each certificate are created and delivered to their holders (learner).
2. The learner, owner of their link, decides to share it as they wish: directly on their LinkedIn profile, on their social networks, on their resume, in PDF, etc.
3. The person who receives this link (verifier) only has to… click ! They can view in real time the data written on the blockchain and all the associated proofs of authenticity.
