Hello, Beaxians!

Welcome to the next edition of the Beaxy Exchange Community Newsletter.

It has been a productive past couple of weeks for Beaxy. But before we get to it, let’s have a brief recap of what was covered in the previous edition of the newsletter.

Recap.

In our previous edition, we gave a little insight into our new direction, and you can read our press release here https://medium.com/beaxy-exchange/beaxy-exchange-update-5e4c34c8db77/

In line with our new direction, we introduced Bay Abbott and Nicholas Murphy as the new co-Presidents of Beaxy Exchange, along with the leadership team and their respective roles in the business.

We also went into a little detail about some of the conferences we attended, along with a presentation Franklin Fitch delivered to students at the University of Exeter.

Now that we’ve summarised the previous edition of the newsletter, let’s take a look at what we’ve worked on since!

Vision and Mission Statement.

The team worked on Beaxy’s new Vision and Mission statement, which was largely driven by the direction that the business is heading in.

In an email to Paperstreet customers,

Our mission:

Our mission is to help you build your financial future. By increasing your exposure to a diverse range of assets, providing you advanced trading tools, and giving direct & consistent support we demonstrate not only our care for the well-being of the community but our commitment to helping you improve your life.

Our vision:

We aspire to become the world’s most complete trading platform by putting our customers first, consistently offering more sophisticated technology, and bridging the gaps between the world of legacy markets and digital assets to foster the future of finance.

The business has an exciting future ahead of it. Our Mission and Vision statement encompasses our aims and what we want to achieve, and are our core tenets serving as our guideposts in the coming months and years.

To the future!

Distribution Schedule.

An overview of the BXY token distribution schedule by month, leading up to June 2020.

We published a summary of BXY's token distribution schedule, and we found that this was welcomed by the Beaxy community.

The purpose of the summary was to provide our community with an overview of tokens that are scheduled to be distributed over the coming months leading up to June 2020.

Additionally, we gave insight into our allotments from the token sale, founders, advisors / contractors and our reserves.

Ethereum: Istanbul Hard Fork.

Several major cryptocurrency exchanges supported the Istanbul update which occurred at block 9,069,000. Beaxy supported the update in kind, and on Sunday, December 7th, 2019 we underwent scheduled maintenance to update our node.

The update was completed without any issues. Withdrawals and deposits were re-enabled shortly after.

Why did we support the Istanbul hard fork?

Some of the proposed benefits of the Istanbul hard fork include increased security, scalability, and speed. This aligns with our perception of the Ethereum network and as such, we chose to support the upgrade.

User Feedback Initiative.

Beaxy Exchange is a customer-centric company that values its users. Customer focus has been a fundamental pillar of our business from launch and is a huge factor in driving our operations moving forward.

With this in mind, we’ve always believed that it’s vital to take the thoughts and opinions of our users on board and try to incorporate any user feedback into our exchange as ultimately our users are the people that use it.

Bill Gates famously said: “we all need people who will give us feedback. That is how we improve.”

With the intention of continuously improving as a business, we looked at how we could receive feedback in ways harmonious with our new direction.

We began an initiative to solicit the thoughts, opinions, and feedback from users about the exchange, and plan to incorporate user feedback from the initiative to improve Beaxy.

We’re approaching our aim of being customer-centric in ways we previously haven’t and are confident this fresh initiative will yield positive results in the coming future.

That’s all for this edition of the newsletter. I hope you enjoyed reading.

Thank you for your continued support while we build for the future!
