Shiela Fuentes started SI’LO with her friends as an e-commerce platform and community to support to sustainable fashion advocates through education, support, and resources — with an overall goal to transform the fashion industry in to a more responsible industry and close the loop.

Baron Dimaranan, R. Marco Carpio, and Adrien Escobin — UNIKO
High school friends now software developers Baron, Marco, and Adrien are behind UNIKO, a companion app for students to keep track of and join the events happening around their university. UNIKO helps students find seminars and events that interest them, covering a wide selection of topics, programs, and courses and helping students manage their schedule, to help keep track of their student life.

Being in the academic profession for 20 years and personally witnessing the struggles of her students, Anna developed a deep compassion for learners and a strong passion for research. Research Spirit was born to provide a safe space and supportive environment for college and university students who are doing their thesis.

Kamille Mae Buron — EthniCoco
Kamille is a Mindanao-based social entrepreneur, startup founder & researcher. Together with friends, she co-founded EthniCoco, a youth-led initiative based in Agusan, Philippines that enable livelihood opportunities for locals & indigenous communities through upcycling agricultural wastes.

Jord Earving Gadingan — Sa Ngalan Ng Lawa
Jord Earving Gadingan navigates the intersection between fisherfolk communities and their natural environment. He has been a researcher, writer, and social welfare worker in the countryside among others. Sa Ngalan Ng Lawa is a volunteer program around the Taal Lake in Batangas that aims to educate the community, build a stronger social fence, and offer another perspective for the lake ecosystem beyond its provisional services.

Drei H. Castillo & Rona Reina— Sarayo Forests
Born from the drive to plant forests, Rona Reina Delos Reyes and Katreen Andrea Castillo bonded over a shared love for nature’s generosity and magnificence that has greatly shaped their childhood. Going back to Rona’s roots in Northern Samar, they founded Sarayo to contribute their skills and passion in a way that could create a more lasting impact on the environment — closer to people whose lives are dependent on nature.
