You!…with the sad eyes

You with the sad eyes

Don’t be discouraged

Oh I realize

It’s hard to take courage

In a world full of people

You can lose sight of it all

And the darkness inside you

Can make you feel so small

You with the beautiful sad eyes. It’s easy to feel so small, left out, ugly, fat, unappreciated, average, ‘unliked’ and confused in a world of controlled online presence, photoshop, digital editing, fake smiles and followers.

Where beauty is matched with how skinny you look and how many body enhancing surgeries you’ve gone through. Where greatness and popularity is matched with how many likes and followers you have. Where human empathy are status and posts updates on social media walls.

It’s easy to feel like you don’t matter and to lose touch with your own uniqueness in order to match up. That you have to act or look a particular way to be heard or seen. To be liked. To be followed.

There is so much confidence oozing in the world today. People act and talk like they know what they are doing. On YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, magazine covers all you see is the glamour and smiles. No one has it all figured out. The best of us gets frustrated on a good day.

But I see your true colors shining through

That’s why I love you

So don’t be afraid

To let them show

Your true colors are beautiful

Like a rainbow

Sad eyes, this post is to remind you how beautiful you are today. Someone likes you just the way you are. Someone is looking up to you. Someone thinks the world of you. Someone is watching you walk by.

You don’t have to look or pose or write like the next person. You are special just the way you are.

Remember that some things are worth it. A true friend is better than a 100 fake ones. If your beauty, fame, and charisma were taken away from you today, can you still count on those around you today to remain by your side?

Show me a smile then

Don’t be unhappy

can’t remember when I last saw you laughing

Sad eyes, remember that self-love and acceptance is important. You have to love yourself to see those who truly love you. The world will throw a lot of things your way. How well you carry yourself will determine how far you will go. No one is responsible for your own happiness except you.

So sad eyes

Take courage now
