As so often happens, one bit of research leads to another.

During the research for these posts, I discovered a whole nest of state and national resources. Among them are whole communities of families working on behalf of their loved ones at other nursing homes and long term care facilities. Reach out directly or in comments if there are others you recommend we include.

Facebook Groups have become an active place for families with loved ones in long-term care to gather to compare notes. Two groups I’ve joined are:

It turns out there are a number of associations with private groups for administrators of facilities, as well as the RCFE Association which uses their page to update prospective members and gives an interesting perspective on their priorities.

For what it’s worth, I also looked around Google Groups and don’t see any relevant groups to join.
