My picks have been strong of late, and I have now broken through the top 200 with over 16,000 points. Whether you’re at the top of the leaderboard or just getting started in the competition, I want to help you make the top 400 to win Bether tokens. Here are my picks and a preview of the matches that are available to bet on in the free Bethereum Gaming Contest this week!

November 26: Burnley vs. Newcastle (Premier League)

English Premier League

In a battle between two teams near the bottom of the EPL ladder, Newcastle (2–3–7) will host Burnley (2–3–7) at St. James’ Park.

Let’s take a quick look at Burnley FC first, who have been outscored 14–3 in their past five contests with no wins and two draws. Their last outing was a solid 0–0 draw with Leicester.

Newcastle shocked AFC Bournemouth earlier this month with a 2–1 victory thanks to two goals by Salomon Rondon in the first half. They also defeated Watford and played Southampton to a draw in their previous two matches.

My Pick: Newcastle to win. A tie is certainly possible here, but Newcastle has been playing extremely well as they try to avoid relegation.

Wager: 1,000 Points on Newcastle

November 27: Lyon vs. Manchester City (UEFA Champions League)

Going into their match with West Ham United, there were concerns that City was more focused on their UEFA Champions matches than the EPL. That didn’t materialize as City won easily with a 4–0 result.

Manchester City will get a rematch with Lyon, who defeated City 2–1 in mid-September. Lyon has proceeded to force three straight draws.

My Pick: With no losses in their previous six matches, it’s hard to pick against Lyon. However, Manchester City has six straight wins while scoring 22 goals and only allowing 2. I choose Manchester City as they’re clearly the team in the best form.

Wager: 1,000 on Manchester City

November 29: Golden State Warriors vs. Toronto Raptors (NBA)

Don’t let the allure of multiple NBA Championships to cloud your judgement on this match. The Golden State Warriors are struggling. The Warriors have dropped four of their last five games and are still trying to return to full health. Golden State has dropped to 5th in the Western Conference.

The Toronto Raptors are red-hot, and lead the Eastern Conference with a 16–4 record. Toronto has won seven of their last ten including four straight over the Bulls, Magic, Hawks, and Wizards. They face a tougher test when they host the Warriors, but I like their chances.

My Pick: I’ll take Toronto at home to beat the defending champions.

Wager: 1,000 on the Toronto Raptors

November 29: New York Islanders vs. Boston Bruins (NHL)

Betting on the NHL can be very difficult because fatigue, home-ice advantage, injuries, and more all play a large role in deciding the outcome. There are also many ties in regular time, meaning that bets for “regular time” results are very risky.

The Islanders (11–8–2) and Bruins (12–6–4) are very similar teams who have been inconsistent; sometimes playing like a Stanley Cup contender and at others playing like they aren’t interested. Both teams have five wins in their past ten games with the Bruins winning four of their last seven and the Islanders winning three.

The key thing to keep in mind with this game is that the Bruins are playing at home. Boston has won their last four straight games on their home ice, and the Islanders have won just one in their past four road games.

My Pick: Boston Bruins to win.

Wager: 1,000 on Boston to win.

December 1: Newcastle vs. West Ham United (Premier League)

My West Ham United Hammers have had a rough time of it this season and things don’t get much easier as they face off against a surging, yet mediocre at best, Newcastle side. Currently, the teams are side-by-side in the standings at 13th and 14th. Both will be trying to stay away from being at-risk for relegation.

Despite their record, Newcastle has been playing inspired football and has been a tough opponent for some of the top teams in the EPL. West Ham will be well-rested with a week-long layoff after their 4–0 loss to Manchester City, but there’s no telling if that layoff will help or hurt their chances here.

My Pick: My gut is telling me that a match like this can only end in a draw. Although I first thought of taking Newcastle to win, I can see both trying desperately to squeak out a point. I’m predicting a 1–1 draw.

Wager: 1,000 points on the draw.
