Alpha test of the Bethereum platform
What an exciting World Cup! Brazil and Argentina disappointed their fans while Croatia was the surprise performance of the tournament. In the end we saw France dominate through a squad that was not only immensely talented, but also very young. During the entire World Cup, we were working hard on nearing our goal of creating the best betting platform in the world.
Our long term goal isn’t just raising money to develop a betting platform, but rather to create an entire new way of betting that will be the betting platform of the future, asserting the Bether token as the global betting industries standard for all blockchain-based operations.
Our goal is materialising sooner than expected. Although we’re just in the initial phase of our development, we already have an average 2,000 unique users on our website each day. Consider the fact that the benchmark for a successful betting platform is somewhere around 100 users a day, and you begin to see just how far we’ve gone in such a short time.
We’ve got 5150 players from 104 various countries registered on our platform, underlining the global ambitions of our betting platform. The biggest activity was seen from Indonesian and Vietnamese users! The World Cup betting game recorded over 117,000 bets placed. The largest pot was 1.9 million points and he total betting volume was over 21 million.
All of these numbers are encouraging, but should also be understood within the context of this being just a live alpha test of one of the many DApps (decentralised applications) that we will feature on the Bethereum platform.
Yes, we are already registering better numbers and traffic than many established betting websites, and yet this is far from the completed product! We used this opportunity to also test out our Smart Contracts, which will be an essential part of the betting process on the Bethereum platform. On a related note, we’re also nearing the realization of our own BetherNet protocol.
A big thanks to all of our fans! We offered a feedback form which received over 1,000 replies with the overwhelming majority of responses being very positive. This affirms our strong relationship with the global Bethereum community and makes our work that much more satisfying.
