Best Wings in Fort Collins? This guy thinks so.
Fort Collins may not have a professional sports team but it does have sports fans, with the Denver Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche so close by, there are many fans just a few hours north. Fort Collins is also home to CSU which means many students come from out of town with a love for other teams who are looking for a place to catch their favorite team.
Pueblo native, Sergio Santistevan’s favorite place to watch his Broncos is Jim’s Wings. I had a sit down with Santistevan to get an inside look at why Jim’s is his favorite sports destination. My questions are marked with a Q while Santistevan’s responses are marked with an A.
Q: So, what is your favorite sports bar in Fort Collins?
A: I’d have to say Jim’s Wings. They have the best wings in Fort Collins.
Q: What other than the food makes you want to go to Jim’s?
A: Jim’s is different than a lot of other places because of the atomsphere. In other places like Buffalo Wild Wings or any of the other bigger name sports bars, things get rowdy, the fans get really into the game and I think that hurts my experience. Jim’s has a much more subtle vibe to it. People come there to hang out and eat good food and I love how peaceful it is.
Q: You mentioned that Jim’s has the best wings, why is that?
A: Jims has such a different quality to their wings than other places and they have a lot of different wing flavors that range from mild to Ram hot. There wings are also really spicy, which I love.
Q: Why should people consider going to Jim’s over another bigger chain restaurant?
A: Jim’s is a local business, Fort Collins is the only place you can get Jim’s so support your local businesses. Jim’s is also much cheaper than other places. Buffalo Wild Wings usually hikes up their prices and you can taste how poor the quality of their food is. At Jim’s you can get 10 wings, fries and a drink for a little over $10.
