Development Update February 2019

Dear Biotronians,

Hope 2019 is off to a great start for you. We started it with some pretty exciting developments and news. Here’s a selection of the most important things that might be of interest to you.

Internship at Cambridge Innovation Center

As a part of the Startup Sharks initiative, Slovak Business Agency organized a monthly internship in prestigious Cambridge Innovation Center. Biotron, along with 4 other startups, was selected from 15 applicants to participate. The internship included meetings with mentors, businesses, and investors for 2 employees. Martin and Jakub were happy to get up to this challenge. We’ll prepare a separate post with the highlights of this trip.

Token Burn

We’ve talked about the token burn a couple of months ago. After analysing the current state of the market and our need for BTRN tokens based on recent product developments we decided to burn 588,907,488 BTRN. You can find more information about the burn in this post. Current information on our total & circulating supplies and everything else is available on CoinMarketCap.

Mobile Apps

We’re pretty excited to announce that our Android app will get a public update soon, as our internal test is coming to an end. We’ve added a couple improvements under the hood and collection of a new dataset — application list. This means you’ll get an option to share information on your installed apps for which you’ll receive more rewards. Similar to the location data, you’ll get 10 BTRN for allowing the collection and 5 BTRN for every week in which it was enabled. The iOS app is progressing as well, with the SDK almost finished. We’ll share more information when it will be ready for release.
