In a volatile market like crypto, knowing when to buy or sell a token is crucial. Our newly released feature, Birdeye Terminal, enables crypto traders to do so by letting them accurately formulate the trading signals they want to receive, using our vast on-chain trading database.

In today’s blog, we’ll dive deeper into a highly anticipated Birdeye Terminal’s sub-feature, Alert, including the different types of alerts you can set and how to use each of them.

Types of alerts

As mentioned in our previous blog, Birdeye Terminal’s Alert allows users to accurately formulate the trading signals they want to receive, using our vast on-chain trading database.

There are four types of alerts:

  • Technical Indicator: Promptly notify you when specific market signals align favorably.
  • Token Stats Performance: Monitor project metrics and identify gaining or losing trends.
  • Trading Events: Track significant crypto buying and/or selling events from specific wallet addresses.
  • Market Movement: Stay updated on trending projects and new pair listings.

Below are the advantages exclusive to Alert, available for both our regular and PRO users:

How to use Alert

On Birdeye Terminal dashboard, you need to go to Alert, click on the ‘Create New Alert’ button, and select the type of alert you want to create.

Now to the fun part — configuring the conditions for your alerts!

1. Technical Indicators:

  • Step 1: Select specific token(s) or all of those on your watchlist, the chain they’re on, and the chart type (1h to 1 day). PRO Users will have the additional access to ‘All tokens’ option to receive notification when any of the 1000+ coins on Birdeye meets the conditions they’ve set.
  • Step 2: Set the technical trigger conditions by selecting a set of indicators you want to track and their position with one another (crossing up, bigger than, etc.). Here’s the list of indicators we have: Price, Volume, SMA, WMA, EMA, WEMA, RSI, MACD, BB, Ichimoku, and Stochastic.
  • Step 3: Choose the frequency and expiration time for the alert.
  • Step 4: Choose the notification delivery channel and name your alert.
  • Step 5: Click ‘Save’ to start receiving notifications.

2. Token Stats Performance:

  • Step 1: Select specific token(s) or all of those on your watchlist and the network they’re on. PRO Users will have additional access to New tokens (only new entries), Trending tokens (20 leading tokens), and All tokens (all 1000+ tokens on Birdeye).
  • Step 2: Choose the trigger conditions, which specify the range in value (Volume, Volume change, Price, Price change, etc.) the token changes in a certain timeframe (1h up to 24h). Traders can configure up to three combined conditions — as long as all conditions are met, crypto traders will receive a notification. This helps maximize the efficiency of your alerts and aims to prevent unnecessary notifications.
  • Step 3: Choose the frequency and expiration time for the alert.
  • Step 4: Choose the notification delivery channel and name your alert.
  • Step 5: Click ‘Save’ to start receiving notifications.

3. Trading Events:

  • Step 1: Select specific token(s) or all of those on your watchlist and the network they’re on. PRO Users will have additional access to New tokens, Trending tokens, and All tokens.
  • Step 2: Insert the wallet address of the person of whom you want to track their trading actions, i.e. a professional trader, a web3 KOL, etc.
  • Step 3: Select the actions to monitor: Buy, Sell, and Trade (Buy and Sell), along with the desired volume range for transaction notifications.
  • Step 4: Choose the frequency and expiration time for the alert.
  • Step 5: Choose the notification delivery channel and name your alert.
  • Step 6: Click ‘Save’ to start receiving notifications.

4. Market Movements:

  • Step 1: Choose a network in which you want to stay informed about new opportunities. Traders can currently track from 9 chains on Birdeye: Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Zksync Era, Polygon, and Avalanche.
  • Step 2: Define conditions for either the Trending Token List or Newly Listed Pairs. The Trending List alert notifies traders when a new entry makes it into Birdeye’s top 10 Trending Tokens, or for PRO Users, the top 20. In the case of Newly Listed Pairs, traders will receive notifications for new pairs that surpass the TVL threshold they set.
  • Step 3: Choose the frequency and expiration time for the alert.
  • Step 4: Choose the notification delivery channel and name your alert.
  • Step 5: Click ‘Save’ to start receiving notifications.
