Some important answers to important questions.

Past revisions:

The team have disabled all upgrades for the Salvage Team NFT Spaceship. The team have also disabled all minting for the MK2 Asteroid Hunter NFT Spaceship and all planet auctions post announcement. Players can continue mining the BYG token from in-game NFTs and trade on the marketplace, including buying, selling, transferring. Players will be able to buy and sell the BYG token until the new SBRN token launch, date TBC.

Salvage Team NFT Spaceship Multiplier

As per the announcement, which can be found here, the next steps are to implement a multiplier in order to reduce rewards distributed by the Salvage Team NFT Spaceship — this is in order to slow down the reduction of liquidity before the new token launch. The team were considering lowering the oracle price for salvage as well as introducing a multiplier on mining rewards; however, the team have decided instead that existing salvage collected should not be impacted by the reduction change. Instead, the multiplier will be applied only to future salvage that is collected, and the 1 tonne to 1 dollar exchange will remain.

This multiplier will be applied in the form of adjusting mining time and attaching a 0.2 mining time multiplier to all Salvage Team NFT Spaceships due to the fact that they produce and distribute too many BYG tokens, which increases the reduction of the BYG token liquidity and does not contribute to the healthy launch of SOLIS.

Date for deployment: Friday 10:00 AM UTC.

This multiplier will ONLY affect Salvage Team NFTs. For those that do not understand what this means, it increases the mining, or rather collection time, for scrap when using the Salvage Team NFT Spaceship (essentially increasing mining time by 5x). As explained before, the alternative option would have been to reduce the $ value of 1 tonne — which many users were quite open to not liking. This multiplier is subject to change, as well as other reward reduction changes, based on the price volatility or movement of the BYG token.

Answering common player questions

Most player questions have been answered in the Spaceborne FAQ, which can be found by clicking here. A few of the most common questions are presented below:

What blockchain will Spaceborne launch on?
The team are working with Polygon to achieve a game launch on the Polygon blockchain. However, the Binance Smart Chain is also being considered and will ultimately be integrated due to our plans at create a multi-chain universe. Which ever is chosen by the team, the other will get support compatibility.

Will there be an IDO for both the SBRN and SOLIS tokens?
SBRN will have a large IDO launch starting at $0.03 cents as explained in the Whitepaper. SOLIS will not have an IDO sale launch; everyone will be able to purchase the SOLIS token upon making it available. It will be deployed with some initial liquidity transferred from BYG. If empty, the team can replenish. Supply and demand will be created with mining and spending.

Will all Black Eye Galaxy players get whitelisted for the SBRN IDO token sale launch?
All Black Eye Galaxy players will be give the chance to obtain this whitelisting opportunity. Simply it is not possible for the team to provide all whitelisting spots for more than 8000 token holders on an IDO launchpad. This is because the process of raising funds in the IDO should be negotiable with funds that are invested with us by investors. The launchpad is meant to attract new investors to spaceborne, otherwise there is no use in the launchpad for the token. We can’t use launchpad for our investors if we hand out all the spaces for launchpad whitelisting. Whitelisting spots will be given to Black Eye Galaxy players in the best and most fair process. The details for this will be given at a later date and time. However, it could be related to the number of tokens and assets that a player owns. A further consideration is being made in using a snapshot of all holder assets before the Spaceborne Announcement, which can be used to raffle out the whitelisting spots.

Where is the SBRN IDO launch taking place?
The team can not discuss this with NDA’s open throughout the negotiations process. This will be announced at a later time and date. Likewise, the team are in negotiations with a large and popular launch pad.

Will BYG be swapped 1–1 for the SOLIS token?
After further consideration, the team have decided that the proposed 1–1 token exchange will take place. However, the starting price for SOLIS still will need to be defined which will be specified closer to the Spaceborne launch.

What will happen to the scrap stored in my Salvage Team NFT Spaceship?
Nothing. Players can sell as normal to salvage depots for the BYG token. After that, it is up to the player what they do with the BYG token. Salvage Team NFT Spaceships will be disabled a week or possibly up to 15 days before IDO to give the ability to sell salvage safely to ensure it does not cut too close to launch. When liquidity is moved over to Spaceborne, there will be no price for BYG in this time period. We will announce in advance, and we will also announce in due time when mining will stop, and players will need to sell the scrap if they still hold any in the storage capacity.

Why can’t you offer more SOLIS for existing player assets in Black Eye Galaxy?
This is simple. This is because the future of the new project depends on how we launch. The team cannot launch with large selling pressure. The team will invest raised funds into marketing to bring in new players. New players will not join a project that has significant selling pressure.

Why can’t players be given SBRN token?
Larger investors and VCs will not invest in a DAO token (and IDO) if the entire liquidity is given to existing players, it is not attractive. Furthermore, if the team spends part of the liquidity (equity) of the SBRN token on current users for free (airdropping) there will be no investors that will invest in the new Spaceborne project, and thus no use case for the SOLIS token that is being given to BYG players in exchange for assets and the BYG token. Any restrictions from investors and funds that support our new launch means that we cannot provide airdrops in the SBRN token for BYG holders. BYG right now is a reward token, so we are only transferring it to another rewards token: SOLIS. SOLIS — will have a vesting swap for current holders. It will have value; at IDO moment, we will move liquidity to SOLIS token as well as SBRN token. The play and earn model will be based on earnings in SOLIS so of course, as a team, we are interested in a sustainable earning model in SOLIS. So it makes perfect sense for SOLIS to have value and utility. It will be similar to dual token model seen in Star Atlas or Axie. Hopefully, players will understand the utility of SOLIS and its potential to grow as new players enter the project.

What happens if everyone sells their SOLIS when Spaceborne launches?
We are taking measures to ensure this does not happen, including the consideration of a vesting period for unlocked tokens. Without measures in place, it is not beneficial for players holding the SOLIS token, therefore, a vesting mechanic will need to be introduced.
