“Progressists” Can’t Deny it: They Got a Brownshirts Problem

Opposing their views has become a risky business.

The Democratic-allied media do not miss an opportunity to bash white supremacists, calling them the worst threat to U.S. national security. But when it’s time to condemn the far-left activists, they prefer to hide behind the bush, as was demonstrated during the 2020 “summer of rage” or on other occasions.

This is because their attitude towards violence and hateful conduct changes depending on which parties are involved. On the left side of the political spectrum, there is no such thing as violence, according to the defender of the progressive faith. Any group using force during protests is only exercising a constitutionally guaranteed right. Remember CNN’s famous “Fiery but Mostly Peaceful Protests?”

On the right side, though, groups and individuals are not that lucky, as they are automatically placed in the category of “domestic terrorists”.

We’ve unfortunately seen a rerun of that pathetic show last week after the Nashville shooting, where a transgender-identifying person, Audrey Hale, killed six people. The liberal media rushed to defend the trans community, snubbing the victims and their families. They then glossed over hostile and provocative acts committed, once again, by Democrats and trans activists in the hours or days following the attack.

For instance, right after the shooting on Monday, March 27, militant transgender activist Kayla Denker posted a video on social media where she appeared with an AR-15 rifle. In the same token, Wyoming House Minority Whip, the Democrat Karlee Provenza, posted a meme on Instagram showing someone with an AK-47 targeting “transphobes”.

Josselyn Berry, then-Arizona Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs’s press secretary, did the same by posting a tweet advocating for violence against “transphobes” after the Nashville shooting. She was subsequently forced to resign. Berry and Provenza were following in the footsteps of another Democrat, Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, who wore a shirt featuring a combat knife in celebration of Governor Tim Walz signing an executive order to protect the medical transitioning of minors.

Steven Shaviro, a professor at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, has been suspended after he posted a comment on social media in support of violence against people who opposed his views. “I think it is far more admirable to kill a racist, homophobic, or transphobic speaker than it is to shout them down”, Stavino wrote. Wayne State University president Roy Wilson said about these statements that they were “at best, morally reprehensible and, at worst, criminal.”

That kind of hateful conduct encourages people to commit acts of violence. On Tuesday, March 28, Alfred Ferrara and Mary Schroeder, both from Ohio, “were charged with resisting arrest, inducing panic, and criminal trespass after they threatened to shoot up a restaurant in East Palestine, Ohio”, where former Donald Trump’s chief strategist, Steve Bannon, was hosting his talk show.

On Thursday, March 30, a mob of activists stormed the Tennessee Capitol, demanding restrictions on Americans’ right to bear arms following the Nashville killing. The video footage shows the assailants shoving state troopers, taking over the floor of the Tennessee General Assembly and screaming through a bullhorn, as reported by The Federalist.

On Friday, March 31, transgender activists violently assaulted Chris Elston who was among a small group of counter-protesters at a pro-trans rally in Vancouver, Canada. Elston was hit more than once while the police remained unmoved.
