Let’s face it … most of us are writing or shooting videos to make some coin. Maaaybe there’s a few of us that just do it therapeutically. But if YouTube, Amazon, or Medium were to hand us a buck or two, most of us wouldn’t turn it away, right?

In the last article, I showed you how to use AI to create custom images in Jasper.ai and them embed them into thumbnail art in Canva. I also discussed that it is just as easy to download generic images from Pixabay or Pexels, but then, that would just lump you in with the masses … is that what you want?

No, ‘course not. I told you that if you read this series, you will be given an edge over the competition, and Edge #1 was Jasper.ai. Not only does it generate custom AI images, but it can do a plethora of other things that I will discuss a lot in this series. I’ll include a referral link and discount code. The discount code gives you a FREE TRIAL you cannot get just going to their website.

Now, while you can find other AI image generators, do those platforms write blogs for you? Do they find SEO optimized social media post descriptions? Or, do they “read” the internet to find trending hashtags? Yeah. I didn’t think so. And yes, Jasper DOES do those things. We’ll dive into that in just a moment.

So, in this article, let’s have a fun discussion about:

  • What are Keywords and why are they important?
  • What are some FREE ways to research keywords?
  • What are the AI ways to find keywords and why is it better than the free versions?
  • A walkthrough Using Jasper.ai to create content ideas and a written script
  • (In the next article, I will reveal the tools I use to, before your very eyes, turn these scripts into a blog, a video, and an eBook with the click of just a few buttons!)

What are Keywords and Why Are They Important?

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper

When it comes to views and clicks, the “shotgun” approach no longer works. In other words, you cannot just spray your content to a general vague audience and expect to make an impression. This is because there is so much competition online these days, and you might just be a speck in that vast sea of online searches.

And, much to our dismay, there are businesses out there that pay big money to “rank” for certain keywords. They pay millions of dollars to be #1 on a Google Search page. So, unless you’re a big company, there really is no point in trying to compete with huge companies that rank for well-known keywords.

So, what’s a lonesome online marketer of social media influencer got to do? Keyword Research.

Now, don’t get discouraged by the word “research.” It’s not THAT hard. In fact, it can be quite fun because it often reveals niche subjects about your passion that you maybe didn’t think of initially.

Let’s say for example, that you want to lose some weight, but are not really into a lot of exercise. You just want to be smarter about how you eat and when. What do you search for? “Diet”?

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper

Look at the top 3 results for the “diet” search: WebMD, Forbes, and EverydayHealth. That’s who you are competing with? Who’s excited?

So, to make a difference in the world, you really need to narrow down the search. You could then search for types of diets, or time-based diets, and that might reveal some new things like intermittent fasting or insulin-resistance.

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
google.com

Narrowing the search by using more specific keywords or phrases gives top results by science papers, not huge companies competing for keyword rankings! “So, you’re saying there’s a chance!”

So, I am not saying to write about the most obscure thing. Not at all. What I’m saying is you have to ‘get your foot in the door’ by finding smaller niches about the same general subject — niches that the larger companies might not think to pay for.

That’s what this article is about. Finding the right kind of phrases to use in your titles, your meta descriptions, your content, your scripts or adcopy, or your eBook, to attract smaller groups of people shopping for the same basic thing.

What are Some FREE Ways to Research Keywords?

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper

There are a multitude of ways to research keywords. The easiest is just to see what other search terms come up in Google’s Related Searches:

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
Google.com

You can expand on each of those to reveal more and more content ideas.

A different way is to use a website called Keywords Everywhere. It is free, and loads as an extension to your web browser. There is also a paid version (super-cheap) to access detailed reports. What it does is it analyzes the web traffic of websites and what keywords their home page is ranking for:

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
KeywordsEverywhere.com

You can click on any webpages “Total Keywords” count; in the above example I clicked the “256” in the pop-up box, and got this handy-dandy report:

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
keywordseverywhere.com

Well, isn’t that somethin’? You might could expand on each of these to find smaller niches to create content about, since these are “taken.”

Another thing that Keywords Everywhere does is offer quick reference to Related Searches. This is another great FREE way to find both short-tail (one word) or long-tail (a phrase) keywords to use in your content.

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
Google.com and Keywords Everywhere

And when I say “use in your content”, use them everywhere, but don’t be spammy about it. Act natural, but don’t LOOK like you’re acting natural. LOL

Use some in your Title, use a bit in your Meta description, sprinkle them throughout your content, and embed them in your image alt texts. You will see later, that the AI version does a lot of this for you.

Before I get to that, ‘just wanted to mention a couple more FREE things that is pretty neat — Answer the Public and SEO Quake.

Answer the Public is a key-phrase database, much like Keywords Everywhere, it’s free (1 free search per day, or register a free account for 3 free searches per day), and the only real difference is it shows the results in “wheel” format:

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
AnswerThePublic.com

SEO Quake is something else though. I actually can’t believe this is a free extension to your web browser, but it is. It is brought to you by the makers of SEMRush, an SEO research tool for professional developers. I tried the SEMRush and it was really amazing … and expensive! ‘Little bit of a learning curve too. I think the simpler, free stuff is plenty useful, and as I will demonstrate later, the AI version takes the cake!

SEO Quake is browser extension that analyzes every webpage you visit. It has the same analysis of keywords like simply Google and Keywords Everywhere, and then it multiples that analysis by a thousand. At the bottom is a quick reference guide as to how this single website ranks on popular social media and browsers searches.

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
google.com and SEO Quake by SEMRush

Then, when you expand the extension icon on the Upper Right browser menu, you get a whole host of other analytical tools that you really don’t need as a simpleton, but are useful if you want to impress your friends at the punchbowl! I mean, if your job is IT or digital marketing, go for it. But if you’re just some guy or gal trying to promote your home-based business or TikTok videos, this stuff is overkill … and a lot of work to comb through.

Long-story short? Use these FREE tools to generate ideas for content you want to create in the niche that the big guns maybe hadn’t thought of. Then, plug these keyword phrases into AI to do the heavy lifting FOR you …

What are The AI ways to Find Keywords and Why Is It Better Than the Free Versions?

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper

Ok, so it’s no secret I am using the Jasper.ai platform to find content ideas, but in the next article, I will reveal 2 other super-easy ways to easily convert text-to-video or text-to-eBook with the click of just a few buttons!

Let’s do a walkthrough on the Jasper platform to generate a list of subjects and content for a blog, a video, and an eBook. Then, in the next article, I will show you, before your very eyes, how to convert these words to post-able videos or sellable digital products.

We can pick from a number of different types of templates. One of the most helpful categories of templates are the marketing templates.

keywords, keyword search, short tail, long tail, affiliate marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, twitter, viral tweets, hashtags, google, seo, semrush, seo quake, keywords everywhere, answer the public, scribehow, jasper ai, ai, jasper
Jasper.ai

These marketing templates will simply ask you for some simple fill-in-the-blank questions like what’s the name or principle of your product, what are some key features or benefits, and what you want the next step or call-to-action to be. Click “generate” and voilà! SEO optimized sales letter for a blog, ad, or video in seconds!

For this article, let’s do a blog template, because in the next article, I will show you how to turn the blog into a sellable ebook! Fun! This link will take you to a Scribe workflow — like a step-by-step walkthrough on creating an instant blog with Jasper!

Looking for Edge #2? Scribehow.com. Imagine turning this into a more professional-looking walkthrough video on whatever you want, how to plant tomatoes, how to sign up for Coinbase, how to pluck nosehairs without crying … you name it, Scribe records your steps, you edit the captions (if you want), and then export your results! Click HERE to learn more about ScribeHow!

You ain’t seen nothin’ yet! In the next article, I will use video AI and eBook AI to turn written content, much like the example blog we just wrote, into either a video, a stutter-free voiceover, or an actual eBook that you can post for sale on Amazon.com!

For me? My mission for 2023 is to turn all of my blogs into some kind of eBook. It sells around the globe, Amazon does the work for you. I’ll tell you more about this in my next article! Don’t miss it!! :)
