That’s why blockwhat? provides a holistic overview over the history of blockchain, its technological foundation and its potential ramifications for all of us.

Today’s book is more focused on the economic and business side of blockchain, definitely an interesting read!

Blockchain Revolution by Don and Alex Tapscott is a very well written and thorough book that explores the potential consequences of this new technology in the business dimension.

It is at times a rather sophisticated and somewhat technical book, yet if you’re interested yourself in exploring all the potential ways in which blockchain could disrupt the business world, this is the book for you!

The revolutionary new paradigm is explored in great detail and the authors do a wonderful job in explaining which industries will be affected, why they are ripe for disruption and how exactly change could look like.

All throughout the book the two authors delve into the many different ways in which industries such as finance, healthcare, education and many more will be changed. The potential advances in governance and law are explored as well.

To sum it up, if you’re a curious person who wants to get a good impression and nuanced knowledge about the potentially disruptive and revolutionary change laying ahead in the business realms, this is the book for you!

If you’re more interested in the bigger picture and societal ramifications, I highly recommend you this book.

Don Tapscott is a leading expert in the world of blockchain and has specialized in the economic and social impact of technology. He founded the Blockchain Research Institute, an interesting think tank that explores the specific impact of blockchain technology in areas such as business, government and society.
