Launched: Blockchain Distribution Network V1

We are thrilled to announce that bloXroute’s Blockchain Distribution Network (BDN) Version 1 has officially launched!
This release is a huge milestone for our team and the entire blockchain ecosystem. We began our journey to build the first Layer-0 blockchain scalability solution in February of 2018 and have worked tirelessly since to accomplish this goal. Our company has grown from 5 employees to 20+, we opened an additional satellite office, and have traveled the world educating the community on the scalability bottleneck.
In mid-November, the network went live to be tested with a small group of trusted partners. Leading up to the launch we conducted many successful tests, including our ETH Mining Test, Bitcoin Cash Miner Test, and the Akomba Labs Test, so we felt confident to release it to the world.
BDN V1
BDN V1 is a scalability service that enables blockchains to scale by propagating blocks and transactions faster. To achieve this scalability, the BDN uses advanced networking techniques such as internal caching, cut-through routing, optimized topology, and dynamic route selection. These techniques can provide scale that surpasses the current needs of most blockchains. The network is by design neutral and requires no protocol changes or compromises to security or decentralization. The BDN operates underneath the blockchain at Layer 0, so it can be compatible with Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions, including PoS, PoW, DAGs, and hybrid frameworks.
The Gateway software is now publicly available in DockerHub, PyPi, and Github. The BDN will gradually deploy and in the next few months we expect to see Pools, DApps, Exchanges, and more adopting BDN V1. As soon as enough pools are using the BDN, we expect a reduction in the ETH uncle rate. Stay tuned for more updates.

Scale Your Project With The BDN
While the first version of the Blockchain Distribution Network (BDN) supports Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, we are also working to integrate the BDN with a number of new blockchain projects including Ontology, Quorum, Conflux, and Metadium. Our recent collaboration announcement also provided information on how we select our partners. Due to high demand we will remain selective to ensure we use our resources wisely, but we are in discussion with several other projects. A growing list of blockchain partners who have agreed to work towards adopting the BDN has been published on our website.
