In September, Boson Protocol made NFT history by acquiring The Glass Suit for 351 ETH, or $1million. Since then, we have seen a tidal wave of interest in the metaverse and in NFT wearables from the world’s largest brands, supporting our instinct that this is indeed the future of fashion.

Today, we can reveal our plans for this unique wearable sculpture. Last month, we launched Boson Portal, our brand experience wonderland in Decentraland, where fashionistas can buy exclusive limited-edition items by Metafactory and AUROBOROS.

And today, we are launching Boson Protocol Gallery, our new space within our Decentraland plot in Vegas City, where we have created an exhibition about the suit and some more information about what’s coming next.

Dolce & Gabbana Glass Suit in Boson Portal

In the Gallery, you’ll find artwork and videos detailing the thousands of hours of work and extraordinary attention to detail that went into creating the Suit, including the exclusive sketch personally signed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

But the exhibition is not simply something to look at: it’s a teaser for what is coming next year, when we launch v2 of Boson Protocol, which we will use to sell the suit and the sketch. Visit the Gallery for more information about how we plan to do this.

The Glass Suit is unique in that it is a whole bundle of assets: a physical suit, a digital wearable and a collection of unique experiences. We are going to share these experiences with you, the Boson community, and sell the Glass Suit using v2 of Boson Protocol.

We initially launched Portal in Decentraland. But as our roadmap continues, we’ll be rolling out our presence in different decentralized metaverses. This is only the beginning. The digital wearable Glass Suit can be created in a virtual world of our choice and we will invite the whole community to vote on where it should appear.

One of the reasons we are so excited about this is that the Glass Suit is the perfect illustration of how we believe fashion is evolving. In future, every physical item will come with its digital twin and Boson Protocol is building the infrastructure enabling brands to offer products and experiences that merge the digital and physical worlds.

In order to twin the physical and digital suits, Dolce & Gabbana had to put in place a bespoke solution. In future, all brands will be able to leverage this technology with a simple plug-and-play metaverse commerce solution enabled by Boson Protocol.

“Take a Selfie” Twitter Giveaway

To celebrate the historic launch of the Dolce & Gabbana Glass Suit exhibition space in Boson Portal, we’re inviting you to join the “Take a Selfie” Twitter Giveaway. Boson Portal is Boson’s metaverse commerce experience, enabling brands to offer products and experiences that merge the digital and physical worlds.

The Twitter Giveaway opens 22nd December, 12:00pm UTC and closes on 31st January 2022, 23:59 UTC.

The “Take a selfie” Twitter Giveaway is a discretionary program. We retain the right to cancel or modify the terms of the program at any time, in our sole discretion.

The Giveaway must be entered by taking a selfie in the new space in Boson Portal, sharing it to Twitter with the hashtag #TheGlassSuit and following @BosonProtocol. Ten winners will be selected through a random draw and win 1000 $BOSON each. The duration of the program is from 22nd of December 2021 to 31st January 2022. The winners will be notified through Twitter Direct Message.

You may enter the Giveaway only once. Using multiple identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules is not permitted. Duplicate submissions will not increase the chance of winning. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the Terms and Conditions of the Giveaway, your submission may be disqualified in our sole discretion.
