Boson Portal Partnership
The team at Boson Protocol is proud to reveal DRESSX as a launch partner for our flagship decentralized commerce experience, Portal.
Built in Decentraland, a decentralized 3D virtual reality platform, Portal is designed as a virtual lifestyle, commerce and cultural playground that seamlessly connects the metaverse with the universe.
DRESSX is the latest Portal partnership, joining other leading companies in the fashion and digital wearables space.
The Partnership
DRESSX is a first multi-brand retailer of digital fashion clothing whose ethos is steeped in sustainability.
The company respects the beauty traditional fashion can create, but believes that cutting down the industry’s waste is crucial in the world of today and, most importantly, tomorrow.
With the DRESS app that allows customers to select their desired garments and see them applied through Augmented Reality on real-time photos or videos of themselves, DRESSX proves that fashion can exist in its digital-only version and customers are ready for it.
DRESSX will be one of the first to take over a retail space in Portal and will feature in-game advertising, imagery and unique experiences.
Its centrepiece will be an initial offering of a unisex digital clothing item. It will be designed as a digital wearable for Decentraland with a plan to include a physical item to be delivered through despatch in the future.
There will also be a special DRESSX quest in Decentraland that visitors can complete in order to buy a Boson NFT that’s redeemable for the physical DRESSX item.
“We as a team are extremely excited to work on this partnership with Boson Protocol,” said DRESSX Co-Founder, Natalia Modenova. “We understood that there are a lot of values we share in common and aims we are striving to achieve — the popularity of virtual lifestyle and e-commerce and their connection to Metaverse is one of them.”
For DRESSX, this partnership with Boson Protocol will break new ground and mark a historic first for the company.
“We are also excited to have the phygital part in this partnership — it will be the first time in the history of DRESSX that we will be releasing the physical item that will support the digital drop,” said DRESSX Co-Founder Daria Shapovalova. “As always, we will make sure that we will offset the carbon emission to stay carbon neutral and that, as every partnership, this one with Boson will be a blueprint for the future of the industry.”

While Boson automates digital to physical redemptions using NFTs encoded with game theory, DRESSX produces digital fashion items that further blur the divide between the virtual with the real world.
