Hello Bosonauts!

Here is the fourth in the series of fortnightly Boson Community newsletters!

To say I’m proud of the team, would be a massive understatement. After we took down Blockpass with the HUGE demand from our amazing community, the team rallied together to onboard an additional KYC provider and build a customer support team over the weekend. Everyone put in a shift and we will be operational very soon for whitelisting once again!

Make sure you follow us on Twitter to never miss an announcement and join the conversation on telegram.

Read on for the latest happenings within Boson Protocol…

Highlight of the fortnight

Boson Protocol Raises $10m To Enable A Decentralized Commerce Ecosystem

We are pleased to announce that we successfully closed the last round before our public sale, raising a total of $10m between all rounds.

The presale round demonstrates continued support from existing investors, combined with new backers. The presale was 40x oversubscribed, showing strong interest for the project.

These funding rounds enable us to continue developing its public infrastructure and a set of composable dCommerce SDKs that will allow developers to build the future of commerce, allowing people, companies, and machines to transact in a decentralised manner, with minimised arbitration, cost, and friction.

$BOSON News

Boson Protocol’s Extended Tokenomics Information

Last monday we received an overwhelming response to our pre-registration phase. Thank you so much for your support. During the week, we also received a lot of questions about the Tokenomics of the project.

Some of these questions were addressed on the One Pager, so be sure to check it out.

In addition, we have created a detailed Medium article. We believe it addresses the most important and frequently asked questions from the community. It covers a lot of ground — so get ready:

  • A quick Boson Protocol intro
  • A short description of the token utility
  • Tokenomics
  • Fundraising events thus far (and their pricing)
  • Some public sale event details

Whitelisting update

We opened the whitelisting process on Thursday last week. Our KYC provider’s system had unprecedented demand, within minutes of launch 15,000 people were attempting to use the whitelisting tool, and in total there were more than 900,000 requests in a four hour period. Unfortunately, our KYC provider’s system was not able to cope, which created a poor user experience for many of our community.

We are reconfiguring our whitelisting process to ensure that we are able to handle the peak load. We aim for the system to be operational again shortly. There are no hard limits on whitelisting, anyone who wishes to participate in the community token distribution can do so, if they apply in the next 2 weeks. So if the system is working slowly, please retry at a later time. We expect to be able to handle everyone who wishes to participate in the community token distribution, and will provide more details in due course.

Latest Partnerships

Boson Protocol announce Bridge Mutual as dCommerce ecosystem partner

We are delighted to announce that Bridge Mutual ($BMI), the decentralized risk coverage platform — will become a partner of the dCommerce ecosystem.

The collaboration will involve the implementation of a widget that will enable users to buy spot coverage for their transactions on any dCommerce website powered by Boson Protocol.

By implementing decentralized risk coverage, we provide more security for buyers, sellers and third parties in individual transactions. Therefore, decentralized coverage presents itself as an essential module for dCommerce. We are delighted that Bridge Mutual will provide a safeguard for the Boson Protocol ecosystem, playing an important role in helping to ensure a seamless and frictionless experience for participants within dCommerce.

NiftyKey (powered by Boson Protocol) announces partnership with bitHolla

NiftyKey, the crypto rewards platform powered by Boson Protocol, is proud to announce a partnership with bitHolla, the enterprise-grade exchange software developer.

NiftyKeys collaboration with bitHolla means that the new HollaEx Kit 2.0 software now has a crypto rewards and loyalty plug-in alongside that offers exchanges using bitHolla’s software the ability to enhance and differentiate their brand amongst growing competition.

In addition to being able to fully customize the skin, create a native token, add a liquid market of BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT pairs, plus independent market making and an automated cloud service, NiftyKey’s crypto rewards will be offered alongside HollaEx Kit 2.0 as an incentivisation and loyalty tool that gives exchanges the ability to profitably acquire, engage and retain customers, instead of competing on fees in an overcrowded marketplace.

Boson Protocol Partners With Royale Finance Enabling Players To Purchase Real-World Items With Currency Earned In Game

In a major step for the dCommerce ecosystem, this collaboration will allow players to purchase real-world items with the crypto they earn in games or have stored in their wallets without the use of off-ramp solutions, a first for iGaming.

Our CEO and Co-Founder Justin Banon said, “Our goal is for Boson Protocol to become the basic plumbing for commerce and its data on the emerging decentralised web. This partnership is a real game changer — not only are we developing and nurturing this ecosystem, we are facilitating the creation of an industry first: consumers can now purchase real-world products using the rewards they have earned in-game, without having to exchange for fiat currency. This is a major step forward for the industry, but also for the dCommerce ecosystem as a whole.”

Boson Protocol announces Fuse as a dCommerce ecosystem partner

Fuse and Boson Protocol will collaborate by jointly promoting both ecosystems to developers to explore and build new applications on. In addition, Fuse and Boson will work on integrating Boson Protocol’s ‘Thing Token’ for users to discover on the FuseSwap DEX.

By promoting Fuse and Boson developer ecosystem tools, non-crypto businesses and communities can easily deploy a peer-to-peer, self-service smart contract platform with mobile infrastructure. In addition, Boson Protocol will provide an integrated dCommerce layer, enabling access to a next generation, NFT powered commerce protocol that removes middlemen and minimises arbitration, cost and friction.

“I’m very excited about our partnership with Fuse; the scope and breadth of its solution provides the perfect ecosystem for Boson Protocol to integrate with. Fuse and Boson will provide a fully open, permissionless peer to peer dCommerce solution enabling non crypto-native businesses to on-ramp into a free flowing tokenized ecosystem, where connected merchants and peers operate in a trust minimised, low cost, low friction environment.” — Justin Banon, Founder & CEO, Boson Protocol
